ACME PARTS.com, Inc. is currently a California "S" corporation.

ACME PARTS will generates income through direct product sales and through advertising sales.

Advertising sales is made up by the sale of advertising "impressions". An impression is a view of an advertisement, which is included on the page with our content. They typically presold in bundles of 50,000 impressions. Advertising rates vary, but a bundle can be expected to generate a minimum of $xxxx. Advertisements typically will take the form of a graphic banner 468 pixels wide by 60 pixels high or smaller 60x90 format.

The ACME PARTS.com website will contain a considerable volume of free "How To" content. This content will typically take the form of multipage web documents broken into project steps. Each page will contain one banner image and one or more ads placed along the margin of the content text.

Initially, sales of advertising space can farmed out to an ad sales agency (such as DoubleClick.com). However, in order to maintain the highest level of control and to maximize revenue, every effort will be made to make all sales in-house as early as possible. An advertising sales department will be developed to specifically handle this task.

Product sales result from visitors to ACME PARTS.com making product selections and proceeding through to the check out and payment section.

ACME PARTS' selection of parts, accessories and supplies can be accessed by visitors in multiple ways. Those methods include Browsing, General Search, Category Search, Advanced Search, Advertising Links, Project List Links (customer selects purchases from a "How To" article link), Customized Catalogs (catalogs tailored to the specific needs of individuals and businesses) and Product Specials.

A fully indexed and searchable database will be maintained for use by site visitors. The database will be comprised of data drawn from databases provided by our numerous suppliers. Supplier databases will be reformatted and indexed for inclusion in our master database. The master database, which contains millions of records, will be recreated and indexed on a daily basis. This frequent regeneration enables the site to reflect up to date product information and pricing.

The site database will be searchable by all relevant factors by which a visitor might choose. Those factors include all common product details such as part number, manufacturer, description and associated/related products (such as associating knitting needles with yarn). Data available to the customer will include a detailed product description, photograph, specifications, shipping weight, dimensions, availability and price.

Upon placing an order, we will clear the transaction payment and place the order with our lowest price supplier. The product will be drop-shipped by the supplier to our customer. The shipment will, at the very least include an invoice with no company identity. Ideally, our suppliers will ship all products with ACME PARTS.COM packaging, labeling and forms.

Industry standards will be applied with respect to product return policies. It is our preference to allow product returns only when they are for replacement of defective or damaged goods. However, in light of consumer trepidation relating to on-line sales, it may be necessary/prudent to offer a '30 Day Satisfaction Guaranteed" warranty.
