xxxx, President and General Manager

Responsibilities: Conduct competitor research, website interface development, distributor relationship development, administration, financial management, hardware maintenance, site promotion, marketing, customer service.

Background: A graduate of University of California at Irvine with bachelor’s degree in Economics. His experience includes developing special reporting techniques for Farmers Insurance, refining rate development using geographic cost mapping, and most recently the founding of ALTIX Computer Services, a business which provides computer support for small businesses.

xxxx, Vice President and Operations Manager

Responsibilities: Website interface development, administration, technical operation, hardware maintenance, marketing and content development.

Background: Over fifteen years of systems design and implementation. Managed Technical Services department, with a staff of 20, for a subsidiary of Nationwide Insurance. Co-founder of two successful high-tech startups – 1989, as Chief Architect of DataTree corporation (recently sold to First American Title Insurance). 1996 as President of Back Bay Software, a profitable IT consulting firm. Clients include Visa, Blue Cross, Bank of America, Pacific Life, The Capital Group, Oakley.

xxxx, Ph.D., Chief Architect

Responsibilities: System management, database management, programming and technical interface development.

Background: Dr. Anderson graduated from Stanford School of Engineering with a Ph.D. in Computer Science. Her area of expertise is Compilers for Parallel Processing. She is currently involved with product development at VMware in Palo Alto.

Outside Support

Professional outside support will be utilized to fill our needs in the areas of accounting and legal.

 

Personnel Needs

Initially, it will be possible to function with minimal staff. Therefore, staff will be responsible for handling a broad range of duties. Personnel will be needed to perform functions in the following areas.

ACME PARTS.com will need a President and Chief Executive Officer at the earliest possible time. By offering an equity stake in addition to a salary, we should be able to attract a highly qualified individual. Our challenge is finding and recognizing a qualified candidate. Our goal is to bring in a person who will be able to guide our company through the variety of challenges we will face over the next several years. Ideally, our candidate will possess an advanced degree in business, have experience with the formation of a new company, have first-hand experience with capital formation, be familiar with the Silicon Valley culture, possess a background in technology and have well established affiliations, contacts and associations within the Silicon Valley community.

Every attempt will be made to cultivate leads from friends and associates. Additionally, in light of the volume of resumes that VC firms receive, we will contact local venture capital firms for referrals. Another possibility is that contact with VC may yield results by attracting the interest of an entrepreneur-in-residence.
